Restored Glass Signs

When presented with aged & damaged examples of early reverse glass advertising pieces & ornate mirrors, it is important to restore sensitively.

This involves leaving as much of the original work in place as possible.

The restoration work then needs to employ the same techniques that were used in the original production of the piece. This is where the extensive research into original techniques become invaluable.

I have worked with the National Trust producing Heritage standard refurbishment to valuable historical pieces. For example, the Crown Liqour Saloon Bar, Belfast. Britains’s oldest public house.

I regularly undertake commissions from collectors & dealers to restore antique advertising on glass.
