A set of exquisite hand made reverse etched glass door art panels for a private client in Maine USA.
The prosesses that went into making these panels onto 21ml laminated glass are. White French Embossing in 9 tones of acid with various etching times, Glue Chipping with a controlled fern pattern, sandblasting in 220 medium, airbrush sandblasting using 320 medium , The glass has a large 35ml bevel. Glass size 54 inch by 19 inch. This glass was extremely heavy to move around while creating the 9 different tones. One of the hardest projects to create in glass due to the nature of the design and finish I wanted to achieve . I was so pleased with the end results matching the paper drawings that I created. Possibly the first time ever 9 tones of acid on glass has been achieved using the French Embossing technique.
