Gold Leaf Workshops

In my desire to pass on this knowledge to other craftsmen, I regularly hold Gold Leaf workshops where sometimes on a one to one basis & sometimes in groups I teach the techniques of glass decoration that I have researched over the years.  These Gold Leaf workshops are, to my knowledge, the only place where you can cover ALL of the required disciplines to execute an authentic “Victorian” reverse glass sign. You will leave the studio with a full palette of almost magical glass recipes, fully equipped to continue and develop this wonderful art form.

I just found your website and I’m completely blown away. What beautiful work you do!
I have been making stained glass windows for years and I’d really like to take classes to learn how to do this kind of work. Does anyone in the USA teach what you do? Are there any instruction books or videos I could buy? Thank you.

    Regards,
    Gloria

  3. Hi Dave, just wanted to drop you a few lines regarding the wonderful week I spent on your workshop , it was fantastic , I can’t thank you enough . As a Painter/ Decorator of nearly 30 years , I was blown away by your vast knowledge and ability on this Craft , it truly has inspired me to follow and progress with this subject . Your hands on tuition style and practical skill combined with your patience with me as a student was brilliant . I’m glad I decided to leave Ireland for the week for workshop , it was money well spent . I will follow up with you in the New Year for more workshops on this subject and others , when your time is available . I also want to thank your lovely wife Mel and your three beautiful daughters for welcoming me into your home and making the whole experience very relaxed .
You truly are a Master Craftsman ! Everybody I’ve shown the piece you designed for me can’t believe the attention to detail and the techniques used to achieve this wonderful work .
I’ll keep in touch about other workshops . I hope all your commission work goes well and keep me updated as they progress if you have the time .
